Could you survive a natural disaster


1.Which of the advice in the reading do you already follow? Which of the advice do you think is not useful?
I have enough foods. I don't have car,so I don't need fill gas.
2.What things in your home could be dangerous during a natural disaster?
A big glass and the thin wall,I think it is very dangerous when earthquake is coming.
3.What other natural disasters can you think of? How can you prepare for them?
Hailstorm,stay at safe place and far away windows.

Nature's weather forecasters


1.Which animal behavior could you most easier observe near your home? Have you ever seen such behavior ?
Yes,I seen some birds were flying lower than normal.
2.Which other wild animal do you know of that behave different before a storm?
The deer come down from the mountains,the snake stay in the hole.
3.Do you notice that you own behavior changes before a storm?If so,how?
When raining is coming,my leg was painful. Because I have rheumatism.

I like to live in a place which is not too hot and cold,I like the cool weather.
I don't like to live in a hot weather place.

Why is the weather so important for them?
I think the weather is important for build worker,especially the worker who working on a high place.
It is very dangerous which is working on a high place in raining.
3.In the United States,people say that when pine cones close up,rain is coming. What are some other
non-technological ways of predicting the weather?
Some birds are flying lower than normal.
